Some people are dreadfully afraid that it isn’t secure enough to shop online. They are worried that someone will get a hold of their credit card number or other information and steal all of their money. This may be possible but it is unlikely to happen. There are so many security measures put in place that it makes it virtually impossible for anyone outside of the company to get that personal information. You have to be careful about the site you are shopping on though. You must make sure that the site has those security measures and how to tell if they do.
Shipping Charges
People don’t like to shop online because they don’t want to pay high shipping charges. These charges can be avoided but many people don’t realize that. You can find many stores that offer free shipping. You also have to look at total cost rather than the cost of shipping to determine if you should online shop or purchase at a store. The price generally comes out the same when you add everything together.
Immediate Gratification
When you shop online, you don’t get the instant gratification that you get when shopping in a traditional store. You have to wait for the item to be delivered to you rather than having it in hand. That isn’t a bad thing. It teaches us patience and we enjoy the product much more when we are anticipating it’s arrival. Many people still won’t shop online for this reason though.
Can’t Try It On
If you are purchasing clothing or anything else that needs to be fitted online, you simply can’t try it on. You have to wait for it to get to you, then you can try it on. If it doesn’t fit, you have to send it back and exchange it or get it refunded. This type of shopping can take weeks. That is one of the biggest reasons some people won’t shop online. There is no way to avoid this situation. If you need to make sure that something fits and it looks right on you, you are better off going to a physical store to do it.

It can also be a really big hassle that isn’t worth the worry. It can be better to shop in a real store rather than from your computer. You just have to make the right decision to suit your needs.
