There are plenty of ways to pamper yourself without spending a lot of money. All you have to do is stop and think about what is really important to you. Once you come up with a list of ways to pamper yourself, put the list into action. You will soon feel very spoiled by getting all the pampering you need without it breaking your wallet. Here are some ideas that you might like:
Quiet Time
Sometimes all you need to feel rejuvenated is some quiet time all to yourself. But make it special quiet time and really enjoy it. If you like to be outside, sit outside on a comfy chair or lay on a hammock and stare at the sky. Take a quite walk or read a magazine. If you think you don’t need quiet time, just try forcing yourself to sit quietly for 15 minutes. You will be amazed at how rested you will feel with no sounds around you, except for chirping birds. If you have a family, tell them this is your time and you are not to be disturbed.
Home Spa Treatment
If a spa treatment is your thing, save money and have your spa day at home. It’s best to share this activity with a mate or with friends. If you have a hot tub, start there. Then give each other massages and manicures and pedicures. Drink some wine and eat fresh fruit. Play soothing music and burn some scented candles. Wear comfy robes and matching flip flops. Play the part and you will feel like a million bucks!
Overnight Vacation
Sometimes all you need to feel really pampered is some time away, either alone or with your mate or a friend. But you don’t need to fly to some exotic location. Try getting a good deal on a room somewhere near a lake or a beach within driving distance. Book it for one night and give yourself a two day, one night vacation! Plan on doing some shopping or eat at a new restaurant. Or just spend your time laying by the pool and sipping on a margarita. It does not matter if you are only two hours from home. It’s still a vacation.
Just think of the things you like to do and plan a smaller version. If your idea of being pampered is visiting a tropical paradise, create it in your back yard with a lawn chair and a colorful umbrella. All big ideas can be scaled down to fit your wallet. All you need is a little bit of money and a big imagination.
